Design Fee

 

Just as every couple is unique, so to is their wedding. All quotes will be customised to fit your special day and preferences.  The pricing structure for your stationery separates the costs between design and production.

 

All the illustrations are drawn by me and hand-painted.  The designs are then digitised to achieve the correct layout and prepared for printing.  I will always keep you involved in the design process every step of the way.

When initially setting aside a budget for your wedding stationery it is typically advised to allocate around 10-15% of your total wedding budget.

 

Production Costs

 

I use only high-quality, sustainably sourced materials which can vary in cost.  There are various finishes that I can add whether that is foils and letterpress or even hand finishing with delicate flourishes.  All these can make your invitations little gifts to your friends and family.

 

There is a lot to take on board when planning your wedding and I am here to help you make the most of your journey.  During an initial consultation we can discuss your budget and your must-haves.  Once we have had a good chat I will send you a broken down quotation so that your total budgeting is clear and you get no nasty surprises.

The design fee is fixed and includes the approximate 100 hours I dedicate to your wedding, from initial inquiry to final completion. It encompasses my creativity, experience, and skills, along with the development of design concepts, presentations, revisions, and artwork. I also manage your print files and oversee any finishing details to ensure everything is perfect for your special day.

What do I need to do to start the process?

When beginning a new request, we inquire about various details and the style of the event, encompassing elements like flowers, colors, venue, and involved suppliers. This allows us to grasp the overall mood.

 

Upon approval of the quotation and payment of a booking deposit, all orders will be scheduled. Once your booking process is finalized, you will be allocated an 8-week slot on our calendar for the full production of your stationery.

 

It’s a good idea to get the ball rolling as soon as you can as I can get quite booked up in advance!

 

How long does it take to complete an order?

 

It can take around seven to eight weeks to create a design and order prints.  Timing depends on the number of pieces your order is composed of and any possible changes that are made along the way.

 

Cancellation/return/exchange policy

 

Because my invitation suites are crafted by hand, they cannot be refunded, exchanged, or returned. With handmade paper invitations, variations in texture and appearance may occur, adding to the paper's unique charm at the manufacturer's discretion. If there's an error in the approved text, the client will be responsible for reprinting costs. Once final confirmation is given and printing has commenced, orders cannot be cancelled.

 

Who owns the designs once produced?

 

Kate Linforth retains rights to the design created.  If you would like to have exclusive rights to the designs, please do let me know and I will provide you with an appropriate quote.
